FAQ
Everything you need to know about BallDuty WC ‘26.
Getting Started
What is BallDuty WC '26?+
BallDuty WC '26 is a skill-based prediction game for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. You predict the outcomes of specific match events — who scores first, whether both teams score, the final winner, and more — and earn points for correct predictions. The better your football knowledge, the higher you climb the global leaderboard.
Is this a betting app?+
No. BallDuty WC '26 is not a betting platform. There are no odds, no wagering, and no financial returns. It is a skill game — you win points, not money.
Do I need to create an account?+
Yes. You sign up with an email and password. During setup you choose a username, pick a team you support, and optionally enable notifications.
Making Predictions
When can I make predictions?+
Predictions for pre-match markets open on the morning of each matchday (when the Scout Report publishes) and close 5 minutes before kickoff. Once the deadline passes, no further predictions are accepted — there are no exceptions or grace periods.
Can I change a prediction after submitting?+
Standard users: no. Once a prediction is submitted it is locked.
Pundit Pass holders (and Big Group / Maxi Group / Club Pass) can amend individual predictions up to 3 times before the match deadline, and can also change legs in a Parlay Stack up to 3 times (counted per save session, not per leg changed).
How many predictions can I make?+
Unlimited. You can predict on as many markets as you like for any match, across all difficulty tiers.
What is the halftime window?+
At halftime, a separate 13-minute prediction window opens for second-half markets. You will receive a push notification when it opens. These markets close automatically after 13 minutes — there is no extension.
What does VOID mean on my prediction?+
A VOID prediction means the market was cancelled after you submitted — for example, if a match is abandoned or a market cannot be fairly settled. A voided prediction earns 0 points and incurs no penalty. It is not a wrong answer.
What does REJECTED mean on my prediction?+
A REJECTED prediction was not accepted by the system at the time of submission — most commonly because the market deadline had already passed. Rejected predictions incur no penalty.
Do own goals count?+
It depends on the market.
Own goals do NOT count for First Goalscorer or Anytime Goalscorer markets — if the first goal is an own goal, the market looks to the next goal by a named player.
Own goals DO count as goals for all aggregate markets such as Both Teams to Score and Total Goals.
Scoring
How do points work?+
Points are based on the difficulty tier of each market: Easy (+5), Medium (+10), Hard (+20), Very Hard (+30). Harder predictions pay more. All incorrect predictions incur a −2 penalty.
Do I lose points for wrong predictions?+
Yes. A penalty of −2 points applies to all incorrect predictions, regardless of tier. This applies to all users.
When are points awarded?+
After each match, results are settled and published. Points are applied to your total when results are published — usually within 30 minutes of full time.
Does extra time or penalties count?+
No. All markets are settled on 90 minutes only, unless the market question specifically states otherwise.
Scout Reports
What is a Scout Report?+
A Scout Report is a pre-match analysis published on the morning of each matchday. It covers team form, key players, likely lineups, and insights to help you make more informed predictions.
Can all users read Scout Reports?+
Standard users get the core Scout Report. Pundit Pass, Big Group, Maxi Group, and Club Pass holders unlock additional premium sections with deeper analysis and market-specific insights.
Parlay Stacks
What is a Parlay Stack?+
A Parlay Stack lets you group between 2 and 5 predictions together for a combined multiplier. If all legs of your Stack are correct, your points are multiplied — the more legs, the higher the multiplier. All users can create Parlay Stacks for free.
What happens if one leg of my Stack is wrong?+
Stacks are all-or-nothing. If any leg is wrong, the entire Stack earns zero points — including the correct legs. There is also no −2 penalty for wrong legs in a Stack.
Can I add predictions from different matches to one Stack?+
No. All legs in a Stack must be from the same match and the same prediction window (either pre-match or halftime — you cannot mix the two).
Why is my Stack multiplier lower than expected?+
Some prediction combinations are considered correlated — for example, predicting "Team A wins" and "Team A scores first" are related outcomes. Correlated combinations receive a reduced multiplier. The multiplier will never drop below 1.2×.
Leaderboard
How does the leaderboard work?+
There is a single global leaderboard. All users compete together — there are no separate tiers or divisions. Your total points across the tournament determine your rank.
When does the leaderboard update?+
After each match settlement. The leaderboard reflects your cumulative points from all published results.
What is the matchday leaderboard?+
In addition to the global tournament leaderboard, you can view performance for a specific matchday — useful for seeing how you did compared to others on a given day.
Groups
What is a Group?+
A Group is a private leaderboard you share with friends, family, or colleagues. Members compete against each other using their global tournament points — there is no separate scoring. Groups are a filtered view of the global competition.
How do I join a Group?+
Any user can join a Group for free. You need the Group's invite code, which the creator shares with you. Enter it in the Groups tab to join.
Note: joining a Group does not normally grant you Pundit Pass features — members keep their own account tier.
Exception: if you join a Club Pass group, the owner's purchase grants all members full Pundit rights (ad-free, Scout Reports, amendments, 1.2× boost) for as long as you are in the group.
How do I create a Group?+
Creating a Group requires a Pundit Pass or above. Pundit Pass lets you create a Group of up to 10 members. Big Group raises the limit to 50, Maxi Group to 500, and Club Pass to 1,000.
Tournament Predictions
What are Tournament Predictions?+
Tournament Predictions are markets that cover the whole competition rather than a single match — things like the World Cup Winner, Golden Boot, and group winners.
They have their own deadlines: tournament-wide markets close before the opening match, and group winner markets close before that group's first game.
Tournament Predictions are not eligible for Parlay Stacks.
Passes & Tiers
What does the Standard (free) tier get?+
Standard users can predict on all markets and all difficulty tiers, create and join Parlay Stacks, and appear on the global leaderboard. A short rewarded ad plays before each prediction batch is confirmed. Scout Reports are standard depth and predictions cannot be amended after submission.
What is the Pundit Pass?+
The Pundit Pass ($4.90) removes ads, unlocks richer Scout Reports, lets you amend predictions up to 3 times per match, gives you a 1.2× Parlay Stack multiplier boost, and lets you create a private Group of up to 10 members.
What are Big Group and Maxi Group?+
Big Group ($34.90) and Maxi Group ($99.90) include everything in the Pundit Pass, but raise the Group size limit — 50 members for Big Group, 500 for Maxi Group. If you only need ad-free predictions and amendments for yourself, Pundit Pass is the right choice.
What is Club Pass?+
Club Pass ($299.99 pre-launch · $499.99 after June 1) is designed for workplace groups, supporter clubs, and competition organisers. It lets you create a private Group of up to 1,000 members.
The key difference: when you purchase Club Pass, every member of your group receives full Pundit rights — ad-free predictions, richer Scout Reports, amendments, and the 1.2× Parlay boost — for as long as they are in the group. Members do not gain the ability to create their own groups.
Can I upgrade mid-tournament?+
Yes. You can purchase a pass at any point during the tournament via the app.
Is this a subscription?+
No. All passes are one-time purchases. Pay once and the benefits apply for the entire tournament.
Username & Profile
Can I change my username?+
Standard users can change their username once for life (your first choice during onboarding counts as that change). Pundit Pass, Big Group, Maxi Group, and Club Pass holders can change their username once every 24 hours.
Can I delete my account?+
Yes. Go to your Profile screen and select Delete Account. Your account is soft-deleted — data is retained for a short grace period before being purged. Once deleted, the account cannot be recovered.
Technical & Account
What is my Account ID?+
Your Account ID is a unique reference in the format BD###### (for example, BD004821). You can find it on your Profile screen.
It is displayed on your public leaderboard profile — other users can see it when they tap your name on the leaderboard. It is also used by the BallDuty support team to locate your account quickly if you have a question or issue.
The app says the deadline has passed — can you make an exception?+
No. The 5-minute pre-kickoff deadline and 13-minute halftime window are enforced by the backend. No exceptions are made.
I think my points are wrong — what should I do?+
Use the Support option in the menu to contact BallDuty. Include the match name and market in question.
Will BallDuty WC '26 work everywhere?+
Yes. The app works globally. All match times are shown in your local timezone.
