Community Guidelines

Version 1.1 (Recognition-Only Model)

BallDuty WC ‘26 is a community for high-intent tactical football fans. Our mission is to identify the world’s best football analysts during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. These guidelines exist to protect the integrity of the competition and the experience of every participant.

1. Tactical Integrity & Skill-First Mindset

BallDuty is a skill-predominant competition.

  • Play with Conviction: Incorrect predictions carry a −2 point penalty to discourage guesswork and reward genuine analytical effort.
  • Settlement Respect: Match results are sourced from official API-Football data. Settlement decisions are final. If you believe a data error has occurred, contact us professionally via the in-app Support feature — do not raise disputes publicly.

2. Identity & Username Standards

Your username is your reputation on the Global Leaderboard. Choose it carefully.

  • Prohibited: Profanity, hate speech, inflammatory political content, impersonation of officials, FIFA representatives, or professional players.
  • Format: 4–20 characters. Alphanumeric characters and underscores only.
  • Moderation: Gemini AI proactively monitors usernames. Usernames violating these standards will be removed without notice.

3. The Path to “Verified Pundit”

The Verified Pundit badge recognises elite tactical consistency over the course of the tournament.

Top-ranked users may receive discretionary invitations for social media features, community interviews, and global recognition on BallDuty’s official channels. Participation is entirely voluntary — declining an invitation has no effect on your leaderboard rank or badge eligibility.

4. Fair Play & Anti-Manipulation

BallDuty’s leaderboard reflects genuine football knowledge. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Bots and automated tools: Using scripts, bots, or automated software to submit predictions.
  • Multi-accounting: Operating more than one account to hedge predictions or artificially inflate rank. Multi-accounters will be permanently banned and their data purged.
  • Purchased advantage claims: In-app purchases (Pundit Pass, Big Group, Maxi Group, Club Pass) provide analytical tools and convenience features. They do not bypass the requirement for correct predictions to advance in rankings.

5. Global Sportsmanship

BallDuty is a global community. We celebrate national team support through the I Support feature and flag system. What we do not tolerate:

  • Racism, xenophobia, or nationalistic harassment of any kind.
  • Any attempt to bypass jurisdictional restrictions for sanctioned regions.

6. Moderation & Enforcement

Report violations using the Support feature in the app. Sanctions applied at BallDuty’s discretion include:

  • Resetting of “Love of Ball” rating.
  • Temporary leaderboard suspension.
  • Permanent account deletion and data purge.
